چکیده
Radish flower color, bolting time, and flowering time are important traits for attracting certain pollinators affect fleshy root quality. In this study, an analysis of the anthocyanidins in radish flowers by high-performance liquid chromatography revealed that differences cyanidin content likely to be associated with variability colors (i.e., purple white petals). A quantitative trait loci (QTL) identified nine QTLs on three Raphanus sativus linkage groups. Three QTLs—qRFC1, qRBT1, qRFT1—which were consistently detected explained a high proportion observed variation (10.30% 34.57%), considered as major responsible respectively. total 16 11 candidate genes within QTL regions color bolting/flowering times, respectively, preliminarily annotated. Six (Rs018140, Rs018950, Rs019220, Rs020080, Rs020590, Rs021450) related differentially expressed parental lines. On basis nucleotide amino acid sequence diversity between lines, Rs314940, Rs315000, Rs315310, Rs315960 mediating times. This study genetic complexity traits. The may useful breeding programs also functional characterization radish.

Transcriptomic Analysis Identifies Differentially Expressed Genes (DEGs) Associated with Bolting and Flowering in Radish (Raphanus sativus L.)
The transition of vegetative growth to bolting and flowering is an important process in the life cycle of plants, which is determined by numerous genes forming an intricate network of bolting and flowering. However, no comprehensive identification and profiling of bolting and flowering-related genes have been carried out in radish. In this study, RNA-Seq technology was applied to analyze the di...
متن کاملRadish (Raphanus sativus) and Diabetes
For more than three decades, various in vitro and in vivo studies have linked radishes with diabetes, though this link has not been discussed. This review systematically addresses and summarizes the effect of radishes on diabetes. We searched the Web of Science, PubMed, and EMBASE databases for English language articles from June 1987 through May 2017 using the key words "radish" and "diabetes,...
متن کاملIdentification of bolting-related microRNAs and their targets reveals complex miRNA-mediated flowering-time regulatory networks in radish (Raphanus sativus L.)
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) play vital regulatory roles in plant growth and development. The phase transition from vegetative growth to flowering is crucial in the life cycle of plants. To date, miRNA-mediated flowering regulatory networks remain largely unexplored in radish. In this study, two small RNA libraries from radish leaves at vegetative and reproductive stages were constructed and sequenced by...
متن کاملDraft Sequences of the Radish (Raphanus sativus L.) Genome
Radish (Raphanus sativus L., n = 9) is one of the major vegetables in Asia. Since the genomes of Brassica and related species including radish underwent genome rearrangement, it is quite difficult to perform functional analysis based on the reported genomic sequence of Brassica rapa. Therefore, we performed genome sequencing of radish. Short reads of genomic sequences of 191.1 Gb were obtained ...
متن کاملMethylation Pattern of Radish (Raphanus sativus) Nuclear Ribosomal RNA Genes.
The methylation pattern of radish Raphanus sativus nuclear rDNA has been investigated using the Hpa II, Msp I, and Hha I restriction enzymes. The presence of numerous target sites for these enzymes has been shown using cloned rDNA fragments. A large fraction of the numerous rDNA units are heavily methylated, being completely resistant to Hpa II and Hpa I. However, specific sites are constantly ...
